Teacher Onboarding

Accessing Albert as a Teacher

• Teachers will log-in to Albert using the Log-in with Google button and their UCPS email address (students should use Clever, scroll down for details)
• Teachers should follow the processes outlined in the videos below to create their account for the first time or access their accounts throughout the year
• Please do not create a second Albert account with your personal email — you will not be able to access the license unless you are logged in with your UCPS email address
• See the video tutorials below to learn how to create a new account or log-in to an existing account with Google Single Sign-On

Setting Up Your Classes

• Create one class for each of your blocks
• Your students will first log-in to Albert using the Clever (see the students section below), and then they will join your class using the class enrollment code. Do not send email invitations, do not import Google Classroom.
• Once your students join your class, your roster should mirror PowerSchools
• You can modify your class name in your class Settings
• If you no longer need a class in your dashboard, Archive the class, DO NOT permanently delete the class — it cannot be recovered once it is deleted

Student Onboarding

How students log-in with Clever & join your class

• Students should log-in to Albert using “Log in with Clever” every time they log in
• Students should NOT change their usernames or passwords at anytime
• Students’ usernames should be their student ID number, sometimes accompanied by their initials
