Character Motivation: Titania

AMSND-GSROMF

The fairy land buys not the child of me.
His mother was a vot’ress of my order:
And, in the spiced Indian air, by night,
Full often hath she gossip'd by my side,…
But she, being mortal, of that boy did die;
And for her sake do I rear up her boy,
And for her sake I will not part with him.

According to the following lines, why does Titania not want to give up the boy to Oberon?

A

Because Titania likes the boy and thinks of him as her own son.

B

Because Titania knows Oberon wants the boy and she thinks it is fun to make him mad.

C

Because Titania feels badly that the woman died in childbirth.

D

Because Oberon will not give her all of the fairy land in exchange for the boy.

E

Because the boy’s mother was one of Titania’s followers and someone Titania cared for.
