Difficult

Baseball Teams

APPSY-R2VW1X

One of the best ways to determine whether one baseball team is better than another is to play a game. But, while the outcome of a game is largely based on skill, chance plays a role as well. That is why teams play each other in series and the league championships are determined with multiple games instead of a single game. This allows us to conclude that a baseball game is:

A

A valid test of skill, but not reliable.

B

A reliable test of skill, but not valid.

C

A valid and reliable test of skill.

D

Neither a valid nor reliable test of skill.

E

Not subject to statistical reasoning since the outcome is a result of human factors.
