Moderate# Class Presentations

APSTAT-W1NGNT

Suppose a high school statistics teacher decides to pick $5$ students to do a problem on the chalkboard in front of the class.

Each student does one problem, and the student cannot be picked more than once. The teacher claims that selection of students is random.

The class contains $18$ students: $8$ wearing polos and $10$ wearing sweatshirts. Suppose all $5$ students picked were wearing polos. One of the students feels this is enough evidence to say that the teacher unfairly calls on students wearing polos too often and the selection most likely is not random.

Do you think the selection is random?
