What Type of Enzyme is This?

BIOCHM-EAIVYT

Arginosuccinate synthetase is an important enzyme in arginine biosynthetic pathway. It catalyzes the following reaction:

$$\text{citrulline + aspartate + ATP} \ \xrightarrow [ ]{ } \text{argininosuccinate + AMP + pyrophosphate}$$

There are six types of enzymes based on the chemical reaction catalyzed.
