Semi-Circle of Charge vs. a Transverse Line of Charge

Figure 1 depicts a non-conducting semi-circle of radius $\rho = 3.66 \text{ cm}$, upon which a charge of $q_{sc} = + 0.724 \text{ nC}$ has been uniformly distributed. A distance $\rho$ from the center of the semi-circle of charge, a straight non-conducting wire of length $2\rho$ has been placed, oriented perpendicularly to the axis of symmetry of the semi-circle.
