Gene Mapping With Three Loci


Consider three gene loci (referred to as L, M, and Q) that are not sex-linked for some sexually reproducing population. Each locus has two alleles (L and l, M and m, Q and q, respectively). Below is a schematic representation of an individual heterozygous at all three loci. Assume it is known that recombination rates are 9% and 18% for r1 and r2, respectively.
