Paths of Genetic Relationship: Full Siblings

GENES-7WDYKN

Consider the basic premise that in diploid, sexually reproducing animal species at any gene locus, the allele passed from parent to progeny is random based on Mendel's Law of Independent Assortment. In many instances use of an arrow diagram can show paths of relationship more clearly than a traditional pedigree.

What fraction of alleles, on average, is expected to be the same in two full siblings (from the same father and mother)?
