Cassius' Use of Logos

JLSCSR-LJ4SGQ

What is Cassius' purpose for incorporating the logos appeal into his conversation with Brutus early on in Act I when he says,

I was born free of Caesar; so were you:
We both have fed as well, and we can both
Endure the winter's cold as well as he: (1.2.99-101)

A

Cassius' whole desire is to take down Caesar and in order to do this, he must have Brutus, an honorable man, on his side.

B

Cassius realizes that many of the Roman citizens view Caesar as an extraordinary human being unlike themselves; it is his goal to persuade Brutus that Caesar has flaws as everyone else does, making him no less important.

C

Cassius is creating a more realistic portrait of Caesar in an attempt to help Brutus to see past the façade of glamour Caesar seems to emit in public and to view the actual tyrant that he is.
