Doubting the Beast

Which of the boys questions the existence of the beast even after the encounter on the mountain, and why?

Ralph: he's unsure if what he saw was really a beast or something less worrisome made more terrifying by the darkness.

Jack: though he saw the thing move in the darkness, he still thinks of the beast as more of a creature than the human-like figure on the mountain.

Simon: he doesn't believe that a large beast could possibly live on such a small island.

Piggy: he repeatedly asks Ralph to confirm what he saw because he can't accept what he can't logically explain.

Samn'Eric: the twins have doubts about what they encounter while watching the fire, and the return of daylight causes them to question what they think they saw.
