Mandated that the Federal Government could not interfere with states' efforts to recapture runaway slaves.
Were the first organized effort by states to eliminate the Electoral College.
Introduced the idea of nullification of a federal law by states that were opposed to that law.
Attempted to get a constitutional amendment which eliminated the Three-Fifths Compromise to get slave states more representation.
