Test a Normal Distribution

STATS-LKBEL0

A goodness-of-fit test can be used to test the hypothesis that a distribution of data is from a Normal distribution. Suppose we want to test if an observed frequency distribution with five classes is normally distributed.

We can find the expected frequencies for each class by:

A

multiplying the sample size by the probability for each class.

B

multiplying the sample size by each class limits.

C

multiplying the sample size by the z-statistic of each class.

D

multiplying the sample size by the difference between the upper limit and the lower limit of each class.
