A student uses a computer simulation to learn about electrostatics. In the simulation the student can add electrons or remove electrons from a macroscopic object such as a plastic rod, a pith ball, or a metal sphere.

The simulation then allows the student to determine the net charge in coulombs on the object. The student creates a graph of net charge vs. number of electrons. Note: the graph is not drawn to scale.

What is the slope of this graph?

Between $0.00$ and $-0.99$

$ -9.0\times { 10 }^{ 9 }$

$-1.6\times { 10 }^{ -19 }$
