You are working with a set of auxotrophic mutant yeast (mutants unable to synthesize amino acids or nucleotides from minimal media). These mutant strains are labeled 1 through 7. You cross the yeast to determine their complementation groups. Complementation groups are groups of mutants that are unable to complement each other.

Mutants were made in both mating types of yeast and crossed to form diploid yeast. These diploids were then plated on minimal media.
