Abatacept and Etanercept are two biologic therapies that can be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis patients. Abatacept (tradename Orencia) is a CTLA-fusion protein, whereby the extracellular domain of CTLA-4 is fused to the Fc portion of IgG1. Etanercept (trade name: Enbrel) is also a fusion protein, composed of the TNF-$\alpha$ receptor fused to the Fc portion of IgG1.
