Why is Tea Cake's role in the fight at Mrs. Turner's restaurant ironic?


Tea Cake himself was one of the drunk rabble rousers, but he was feigning being sober to get on Mrs. Turner's good side.


Mrs. Turner hates Tea Cake, but Tea Cake is the person who ended up behaving heroically and getting the drunkards out of the restaurant.


Tea Cake tried to get the drunk men out of the restaurant to win favor with Mrs. Turner, but he ended up making it worse and further angering her.


Tea Cake is the cause of much of the discord that led to the fight, but he is the one who helps Mrs. Turner rebuild her business.


Tea Cake's skin is darker than the skin of the other men, but they end up displeasing Mrs. Turner even more than Tea Cake.
