Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Arkansas's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Arkansas uses the Arkansas Academic Standards for all core subjects. ELA and Math standards are CCSS-derived with Arkansas revisions; Science follows the Arkansas K–12 Science Standards (NGSS-based).
Starting in 2023–24, the ATLAS assessment replaced ACT® Aspire as the state test for Grades 3–10. The ACT® is provided as a state-funded opportunity for all 11th graders, and the ACT WorkKeys® is state-funded and available for students in Grades 10–12.

Arkansas requires 22 credits under the Smart Core curriculum for graduation, including 4 ELA, 4 Math (through Algebra II), 3 Science, 3 Social Studies (including 0.5 Economics), 0.5 Fine Arts, and 1.0 Computer Science. In 11th grade, students choose a state-funded CCR exam (ACT®, SAT®, or CLT). Class of 2027+ must also complete 75 hours of community service.
