Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Illinois's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Illinois adopted Common Core in 2010 and NGSS in 2014. Today, its Math, ELA, and Science standards remain 1-to-1 with the national frameworks, unchanged.
Social Studies standards are heavily based on the C3 Framework. The state also maintains standards for Health, Computer Science, World Languages, Fine Arts, and Social Emotional Learning.

ELA & Math: Grades 3–8 (IAR).
Science: Grades 5 & 8 (ISA).
Computer-adaptive, on Pearson's TestNav.
ACT®: Required for all 11th graders.
ISA Science: Grade 11.
Scores used for school benchmarking, not graduation.
Required credits must be earned. No exit exam, ACT® scores do not impact graduation.
Must pass an exam on the Illinois and U.S. Constitutions to graduate.

Rigorous practice across grades and subjects, fewer students fall behind.
Elective credits, Civics, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and more.

Albert should be the foundation on which we base our grammar instruction moving forward. It really should. Because it's all here.
The platform's clear explanations and immediate feedback help them build confidence, understand AP®-style reasoning, and develop the habits of mind they need for success in higher-level coursework. It bridges the gap between content knowledge and exam readiness while allowing me to differentiate support for every learner.
Albert is the number one tool I use to incorporate SAT® and AP®-style question exposure for all of my students, and allows me to assess growth with ease.
My students and I both love the immediate feedback they get when they make a mistake — with explanations for why they missed the question. Most sites don't have that feature. Albert also makes it very easy to view and organize data, which helps me plan lessons for my students.
The data given to show student progress is invaluable. Albert is an outstanding resource for teachers to help prepare their students for the exam.

Students who independently prepared with Albert’s AP® Question Banks consistently outperformed national AP® averages in 2024 and 2025, driven by sustained, high-volume practice.
